Body and Life: Life Course Perspective on Aging
This programme focuses on the one hand on identifying the biological, physiological, and mental markers of early ageing, and on the other hand on studying the ageing process over the life course.
The approach is to investigate how biological, physiological, and social factors in both childhood and early adulthood affect early ageing in the middle-aged as well as functional decline in older people. The studies will be carried out via analysis based on data from several established data sets and from the ongoing data collection for the Copenhagen Ageing and Midlife Biobank.
